Women of the Colonial Period contributed to American Literature.Women's Role in Colonial America was to support male leaders of the religious, political community by keeping house and raising strong, moral children. It was not common for women to have an education during the colonial period. The arena of american literature was largely male dominated. The literary contributions of women were starting to become increasingly more important.Over the next few pages we will look at few of these influential women.
